If you’re looking for a high-energy Irish pub with strong drinks and hearty food, come down to Mo’s. Right on the corner of Wisconsin and Plankinton, you can’t miss it. The first establishment was opened downtown in 2003. The name was given to honor the mother, Maureen, of the founder, Johnny Vassallo, who is 100% Irish. Guinness extended an invitation to Vassallo to trek to Ireland and learn about the culture. Through his journey, Vassallo felt compelled to bring the first bar for the Pub directly from Ireland. Stop in during the afternoon between four and six Tuesday through Friday to enjoy all their drafts for $2.62 and all wines for only $5!
